'Give yourself up' appeal to rapist

POLICE hunting a serial rapist who preys on the elderly are offering a £40,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction. Detectives from Operation Minstead, Scotland Yard's biggest ever manhunt, have made a fresh appeal for information about the attacker, who has broken into 98 people's homes and raped four elderly women. The "gerontophile" rapist operates in cluster areas such as Orpington, Brockley, Forest Hill, Sidcup, Beckenham and Catford, and has been linked to offences dating back to 1990. He has also targetted 10 men, also aged between 68 and 93 years-old, indecently assaulting one of them. .
