Woman rapist gets jail sentence

A Rochester woman who admitted raping a 13-year-boy was solicited by the boy, her lawyer said Friday. As Marilyn Rosario was sentenced to six months in the County Jail and ordered to serve 10 years' probation, Assistant Public Defender Erik Teifke said the boy paid her $9 to have sex with him May 8 in his North Plymouth Avenue home. Rosario is intellectually challenged and addicted to cocaine and needed money to buy drugs, Teifke said. "Regardless of how you got together or what happened, you did have sex with a minor," Acting County Court Judge Stephen K. Lindley said of Rosario's actions. Rosario, 34, was charged with first-degree rape after the boy claimed Rosario came to his home, identified herself as a Health Department worker who wanted to talk with him about sexually transmitted diseases, then raped and robbed him of $9.
