Unknown New York / New Jersey Serial Rapist

For nearly two years, a man has been plucking women off the streets of Manhattan and Northen New Jersey and taking them on the most terrifying rides of their lives. He holds his victims captive for hours before releasing them miles away. But two new clues could help bring him down. First, cops are almost certain that one of the vehicles the rapist uses is a third-generation Pontiac Firebird. And it has to be an '86 or later based on the position of the square brakelight in the back window. A car-savvy victim relayed this information to police after the rapist dumped her off in a parking lot. Early eighties Firebird, black, automatic with center console, stop light in the hatchback window. The cops checked the lot's surveillance cameras, and sure enough, they discovered footage of a Firebird that matched her description.
