Man accused of rape shoots himself when police arrive
A Reynoldsburg man charged with raping a juvenile shot himself yesterday after police with a warrant attempted to search the place he was staying. Dustin Vincent Toler, 27, was taken to Grant Medical Center yesterday with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a news release from the Licking County sheriffs office. Toler, whose last known address was on Brian Drive in Reynoldsburg, indicated he might take his own life when a SWAT team from the Licking County sheriffs office found him staying at 13021 Dana Rd. The deputies had been trying to locate Toler to arrest him in connection with a July 7 assault on a juvenile. After they entered the room he was in, Toler shot himself. No gunfire was exchanged between deputies and Toler. More information wasnt available last night. .
