Rapist's parole hearing an emotional affair
The appearance of a 27-year-old serial rapist before the Utah State Board of Pardons drew an emotional response from his victims and their families Tuesday. And though Randall George Noble disputed several facts surrounding the rape and aggravated sexual assault of as many as 16 victims, one thing was clear in the minds of everyone present: three years behind bars is not enough. Hearing officer Kim Allen, who listened to Noble's rebuttal and allowed victims and family members to speak, said, "You're not going to get out of here for a long time, and that's well-deserved." Noble was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison in May 2003 after being convicted of first-degree felony counts of rape, rape of a child and aggravated sexual assault and second-degree felony attempted rape.
