Janesville police warn residents of serial rapist
JANESVILLE, Wis. Janesville police say they believe a serial rapist has been on the loose in the area since 1998. Police believe one man is responsible for six break-ins and several sex assaults since 1998. Each incident has happened between May and October. The department says they have D-N-A that will help them positively identify or clear any suspect. Since the last break-in last July, public tips led to police requesting D-N-A samples from 55 people. The State Crime Lab has cleared 48 of those people. The remaining samples are being processed. (Thanks to WKOW-TV in Madison) Copyright 2006 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
